This mod makes Miria useful and not a usless burden. This mod changes one of the NPCs you meet in Fallout. Some features: A) Miria wil now level up and B) she has a huge amount of floating-text style speech possibilities.

The Miria NPC Enhancement Mod was created by Stone-D and released in early 2004. It is partially based on code provided in the B-team mod by Jargo.

An updated version is part of the MIB88 Megamod

DISCLAIMER: The original files are older than any of the improvements made by Killap's Fallout 2 patch, so using it with any mod it was not specifically adapted to work with may cause problems. Be sure to back up all your original files before attempting this!!!


  1. Replace mcmiria.int in "Fallout2\data\Scripts" folder
  2. Replace mcmiria.msg in "Fallout2\data\Text\English\Dialog" folder
  3. Edit pro_crit.msg in "Fallout2\data\Text\English\Game" folder, adding lines 00000509.pro - 00000515.pro to the bottom
{Use whatever the next number would be. With the files I was using, the last number was 508 so I added 509+}
  1. Rename 00000484.pro - 00000490.pro (7 files) to 00000509.pro - 00000515.pro {matching new lines added in step #3}
  2. Edit new proto files to make critter ID number match the new filename (use FUCK - http://www.teamx.ru/eng/files/utils/index.shtml)
  3. Add the renamed and edited proto files to "Fallout2\data\Proto\Critters" folder
  4. Add the new proto file numbers to the bottom of 'critters.lst' in "Fallout2\data\Proto\Critters"
  5. Replace Miria section of party.txt in "Fallout2\data\Data" folder {see next item below}
  6. Change "level_pids=" in party.txt adding new proto numbers to 16777216 {16777216 + 509 = pid 16777725, etc.}
  7. Save all added/modified files as read only
