If the title threw you a bit, I am simply referring to the mess that all the content of this wiki has been put in. To be honest, it can relate to someone jamming all their belongings in a closet, and just thinking about really cleaning it up later. Let me point out a few things:
- There is no proper categorization whatsoever. You can investigate the category layout at Special:Categories.
- There are probably more redirect pages than real content articles. They do not need to be used just because someone linked to the wrong page.
- The main page is not very orderly; the main menu sidebar is probably the best example of this.
- There is more, but I don't really want to list everything.
I believe these problems are all because the wiki maintenance is left to a big group of people, and people have contrasting views on making a fully functional, easy to use wiki. I may very well be assuming the role of "overseer" of the site once my prior enagements to mods are done, but I would be willing to help make this place more presentable for everyone.
Now, I know the forums here are VERY low-traffic, but if anyone happens upon this forum thread, post things you would like to see changed about the wiki. I will attend to reasonable complaints, because I know I have some of my own.
Discussion is appreciated. -- Ghouly89 (Talk) 18:48, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I came here looking for the Fallout 2 Restoration Project. What I'd like to see is a clear explanation which versions of Fallout 2 the patch works with. Will it work with the version I can download from GOG.com or Steam? The Fallout Trilogy 3 pack I can get from Amazon? Or am I going to need a copy of the old disc version? -Cleaningcaptain, 13:10, July 4th, 2010
