Core mods

Fallout 4: New Vegas is a Fallout 4 mod in development. You can get started downloading your own New Vegas universe in anticipation for the highly anticipated mod. Some mods suggested on this page may not be in the official New Vegas mod, but are highly recommended to add to that universe. Let's get started!

Setup[]

PC users, it is strongly recommended to use Mod Organizer 2 so that you can configure a profile dedicated to New Vegas, without interrupting your currently installed mods! Do NOT use the inferior Vortex which limits you at the 254 plugin cap with no work around.

This page suggests up to 100 mods that you can install to enrich your New Vegas universe. A very limited selection of these mods are available on Xbox and PS4.

The main story of Fallout: New Vegas takes place in the year 2281.[1] Fallout 4 takes place in 2287.[2] In 2281, Legate Lanius commented that the West would fall as the East fell and that all the land between would bear the mark of Legion.[3] Caesar's Legion spawned from the Grand Canyon area (Van Buren) migrating west to Nevada. Until the remake of the highly anticipated New Vegas, the unofficial theme of our modded New Vegas adventure is witnessing the remnants of Legion spawning around the Fallout New England (F4) area trying to reorganize.

Environment[]

Mojave exports and AWKCR patch!

Amber Hud needed!

Disguise[]

One of the great features of Fallout: New Vegas was the ability to wear faction clothing as a disguise to enter an enemy camp. Syngrith brings you that same capability to Fallout 4, with Infiltrator - True Disguises!

You may find Faction Maintenance mod also useful to infiltrate a Legion (Raider) camp in order to make changes to their environment during gameplay.

Caesar's Legion[]

Replaces all generic Raiders with Caesar's Legions!

Make Legionary camps and Caesar's palace!

Work with a Legionary Workbench to craft Legion armor!

Caesar's core mods

Warning! Nemesis body suit is not official in Fallout 4: New Vegas. But... it should be.

There may be a number of plugins needed for mod functionality of the Nemesis body and therefore it is highly recommended to use Mod Organizer 2, rather than Vortex. Vortex limits you to the 254 plugin cap. Mod Organizer 2 has a work around called 'Configure profiles'. If you have 150 core mod plugins (mods you CANNOT do without), you can dedicate 100 mod plugins to your New Vegas universe (profile). Then you can switch to another profile with a completely different set of 100 mod plugins! Read more about mod managers for Fallout 4 modding.

The Nemesis suit takes a number of components. Just get Max crafting components because hey, we need a lot of suits for our Legion settlement and there is no time to waist. It's not cheating, it's getting 'er done.

Once you are satisfied with suit functionality, choose a settlement to build your Caesar's palace with Legion Workshop. Make your troops with a combination of Legion Armor and Nemesis, or make Caesar as Nemesis alone.

Get Amazing Follower Tweaks and use AFT Master Control, in your Pipboy menu under AID, to modify your follower's SPECIAL. This will allow you to make melee and sniper builds for your settlers. AFT control can do many things for your settlement so become very familiar with this mod (Read their 'How To' section).

After you are satisfied building Caesar's palace, turn the settlement HOSTILE with Hostile Workshops by SKK.

NCR faction[]

Replaces minutemen with NCR personnel!

Do final dress-up touchups with BlaineMobius' Trooper Armor!

Militarized minutemen FCOM patches to your minutemen with a selection of gear that could accommodate NCR (Needs verification of any conflict to NCR overhaul).

Powder Gangers[]

An NCR Correctional Facility can be setup at Starlite Drive-In and Powder Gangers can be made using the recommendations given in the article Freeze! You're under arrest.

Creatures[]

Attacks workshops!

Attacks workshops! For cages, get the Mantis Capture Cage.

Ants!

Posse[]

The old gang is back!

Mod Organizer 2[]

JUST SAY NO
Just Say No

Mod Organizer 2 kicks Vortex right in the ass with its configure profiles option. Creating profiles allows you to circumvent the 254 plugin cap. As seen below, it's recommended to add a category < New Vegas > to all the New Vegas mods that you are building for your New Vegas profile. At the top of your mod list, you should have your core mods, recommended at 150 plugins. Your New Vegas mods, easily identified by the category name, should run no more than 100 plugins listed at the bottom of your mod list (if possible). It's recommended to keep all your unique profiles at around 100 plugins.
